My husband and I stayed at the Copper Kettle while visiting the Celtic festival at Hunter Mountain. The owners (Don and Lisa) live on the property. This is one of the most quaint friendly places we have ever stayed. We stayed in the cottage “suite” which was very nice and full of character. The room was huge and was spotless. The vintage decorations made us feel right at home. However what will make you fall in love with the Copper Kettle is Lisa and Don. They welcomed us in as if we were family. After two minutes of talking to them you feel like you have known them for years. They have a restaurant and a pub with a pool table and dart board. The main lodge has tons of history and is warm and inviting. We enjoyed the Celtic festival and then relaxed in the pub. If your looking for a place that is more than a hotel this is your place. We will be back.
This is the place!!
This was the best place we’ve found in the area around the Grey Fox Festival. The rooms are country cozy (i.e. clean but a bit worn) with the basic amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a great night sleep and woke up to see the mountains out our window. The hosts are great–friendly, warm, and very accommodating. They serve a great continental breakfast with a wonderful pot of steelcut oats and fixings plus the usual selections.
